Fraternity Bros Busted in a Big way
Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday held a press conference announcing charges against 14 individuals connected to Penn State University fraternity cocaine trafficking ring. The multi-state drug ring, dubbed "Operation Drugs Unlimited," operated between 2023 and 2024. It involved smuggling bulk kilograms of cocaine from New York and Philadelphia to State College. The drugs were primarily cut, packaged, and distributed out of two off-campus houses: Delta Upsilon and Sigma Chi. Investigators revealed that forcing pledges to cut and bag the cocaine was used as an "indoctrination" or hazing ritual to get into the fraternities.

Ward Centre in Honolulu has officially closed as of June 30, 2026 to make way for a major redevelopment project that will replace the complex with luxury condominium towers (Melia and Ilima), a one-acre public park, and a smaller footprint for retail spaces. The Howard Hughes Corporation plans to build 369 residential units and 20,000 square feet of retail space on the site where the 44-year-old shopping destination is located. Roger Dunn Golf Hawaii, a long-time fixture, announced plans to relocate to the Ala Moana Center in July.

Hermes Heir sue LVMH, others
An heir to the Hermes family fortune has filed a civil lawsuit against LVMH, its CEO Bernard Arnault, and others related to a stock battle that has been going on for over a decade. The heir believes he was wrongfully stripped of shares of Hermes stock now valued at 14 billion euros (about $16 billion in U.S. money). In October of 2010 LVMH took a 17% stake in Hermes, later it acquired about 23% of the company. In 2011 the family got together and formed a holding company to prevent a full takeover of the company. In 2013 the French government fined LVMH 8 million euros for not disclosing the initial stake they held in Hermes. By 2014 the battle ended with LVMH giving up their stake in Hermes by distributing the shares to its own shareholders. Somewhere within the mix this heir claims his shares were somehow transferred without his knowledge. Nobody seems to know what happened. Police are investing as well.
